I originally left the sentiment off and put it on today as I wasn't sure what this card would be used for!

Thank You - Technique Challenge
Here's another one of my Thank you cards for the PAC. This was the other card that I made for our Technique challenge this month. I added the white lines around the edge of the Framelits die with my gel pen. It just finishes it off.

Very Busy Week
I apologize for not having posts for a lot of this week. I started a part-part time job on Monday & Tuesday of this week and it's messed me up for card making and other things - laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc. I don't know how I did everything when I was working full-time!
Plus we had a HUGE fundraising event at the school - a Silent Auction. We hand $22,000 worth of items and we managed to raise over $17,000 for the school! WOW!
So I've been making Thank-you cards for those involved. Here's one of them. I made the flowers using the Blossom punch, snailed them down and then ran them through the Big Shot. So you get a bit of a quilted look.

Club Card Challenge
Here's the template we were given for this month's Technique Challenge. For some reason I had a tough time with this design. Not sure why, but couldn't get my head wrapped around it. So I created this Father's Day card, wasn't too happy with it and so created another card (which I'll post at another time).
Everyone I showed my Fox card to thought it was great, and it won me the prize for best card last night. So I guess I was over thinking it!

Freshly Made Sketches #36
Christmas in May! Like my last post said, I was going through some of my DSP and came across the Christmas paper and thought, why not! Get a head start on Christmas cards now and then it will be so much easier when December comes along and there are no cards made but it's time to mail them! And I love this stamp set - it's so versatile for all age groups.

Sympathy
I made this card for a very close friend of my parents who died very unexpectedly. I'm not sure how keen I am about it as I tend to go for the simple look and style of cards - but I think this one was perfect for remembering Doris.
I don't know if it's a good thing or not, but I tend to lean towards "Trendy Trees" when I'm making sympathy cards. There's something about a lone tree that signifies a person (in my mind at least).

Brayer Technique
This card was made using the scallop square for the big shot, but instead of running the paper through the Big Shot, I used a transparency and then inked up my brayer and and rolled it over the transparent piece of paper so the ink came right through to the card. Just another way to use the Big Shot. You could even do this technique with a punch.
You'll have to excuse the crooked sentiment!
